Terms of Service
1. Scope and service description
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the counseling service offered at relateto.ai. By submitting payment and a counseling case, you agree to these terms.
The service consists of asynchronous, email-based systemic counseling for AI-related relationship tension. Each session includes one written counseling response, delivered to your email address within 24 hours of case submission.
The service is provided as Lebens- und Sozialberatung under the Austrian Gewerbeordnung (trade regulation act). This is not psychotherapy (Psychotherapie), psychiatric treatment, or a medical service. It does not constitute diagnosis, treatment, or management of any mental health condition as defined under Austrian law, and does not replace professional mental health care.

Trade license (Gewerbeberechtigung): Lebens- und Sozialberatung gemäß österreichischer Gewerbeordnung.
3. Pricing and payment

- $110 USDC via x402 protocol (on-chain payment on Base)
All prices are inclusive. Umsatzsteuerbefreit gemäß § 6 Abs. 1 Z 27 UStG (Kleinunternehmerregelung) — VAT exempt as a small business under Austrian law.
Payment is processed by Stripe or via the x402 protocol. We do not store credit card numbers or financial account details.
4. Contract formation
Payment is required before case submission. The contractual relationship between you and the service provider is formed when your completed case submission is received and confirmed by the service. A confirmation email is sent to the address you provided upon receipt of your submission.
The service provider reserves the right to decline a case submission if the subject matter falls outside the scope of Lebens- und Sozialberatung, in which case payment will be refunded in full.
5. Right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
Pursuant to § 11 FAGG (Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz, the Austrian Distance Selling Act), you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day of contract conclusion.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g., an email) sent to: [email protected]. You may use the following model withdrawal text, though it is not mandatory:
"I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the counseling service concluded on [date]. Name: [your name]. Email: [your email]."
If you have expressly consented to the service beginning before the withdrawal period expires, and have acknowledged that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service is fully performed, then your right of withdrawal expires upon delivery of the counseling response. You will be asked to provide this consent during the submission process.
6. Delivery
The counseling response is delivered to the email address provided during case submission, typically within 24 hours of case receipt. Delivery times may be extended in exceptional circumstances; you will be notified if a significant delay is anticipated.
The service provider is not liable for delivery failures caused by an incorrect email address provided by the client, spam filters, inbox capacity limitations, or other recipient-side technical issues. If you have not received a response within 48 hours, please contact [email protected].
7. Scope limitations and disclaimer
This service is systemic counseling (Lebens- und Sozialberatung). It is not psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, or medical advice, and does not replace professional mental health treatment.
The service is available exclusively to persons aged 18 and older.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact one of the following immediately:
- Telefonseelsorge Austria: 142 (free, 24 hours)

The service provider reserves the right to decline or discontinue a case where the content indicates an acute crisis, psychiatric emergency, or matter that falls outside the scope of Lebens- und Sozialberatung under Austrian law.
8. AI-assisted processing
Artificial intelligence tools — specifically Anthropic Claude models accessed via Google Cloud Vertex AI — are used to assist in drafting counseling responses. This constitutes AI-assisted processing, not automated decision-making under Art. 22 GDPR.
Every AI-generated draft is reviewed, edited where necessary, and approved by the qualified human counselor before delivery. No automated decisions are made about the content or direction of the counseling response. The human counselor bears full professional responsibility for every response delivered.
9. Confidentiality
All case content — including your situation description, context, and any personal information you share — is treated with strict confidentiality in accordance with the professional secrecy obligations applicable to Lebens- und Sozialberatung under Austrian law.
Case data is encrypted at rest and transmitted exclusively over encrypted connections (TLS). It is not disclosed to third parties beyond what is technically necessary to deliver the service. Details on data processing, third-party processors, and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
The service provider exercises the care and diligence required by Austrian professional standards for Lebens- und Sozialberatung. No guarantee is given for specific outcomes or results arising from a counseling session.
The service does not substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, or emergency services. The service provider accepts no liability for decisions made by clients on the basis of counseling content.
Liability for damages is limited to cases of intent (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), except where mandatory Austrian law provides otherwise. This limitation does not apply to liability for personal injury (Personenschaden).
11. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Austrian law, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and Austrian conflict-of-law rules. Place of jurisdiction: Vienna, Austria.
